Mobile Crane

Carrier (Chassis): The wheeled or tracked base that moves the crane on roads or rough terrain. Superstructure: The upper rotating platform that holds the operator cab, engine, and main lifting drums. Boom: The extendable arm (telescopic or lattice style) used to reach high or distant areas. Outriggers: Extendable stabilizing legs placed firmly on the ground to keep the crane balanced during heavy lifts. Counterweights: Heavy weights mounted at the back to stop the crane from tipping over when lifting a load.
